Showing vs. Telling - Do you use your words to "tell" your readers what's going on, or to "show" them? One of the best ways to make a reader connect to your book is to allow them to feel as if they see the story unfolding in front of them.
Marketability - Your manuscript may be the best written in the world, but you need an honest opinion as to whether your manuscript will sell. Just because it's good, doesn't mean it's what the public -- or the publishers -- or buying at the moment.
Please keep in mind that this is a critique, not an actual edit . . . Miller will give you an overall assessment of your manuscript, pointing out the flaws that need to be worked out. Working out the flaws at this stage should substantially reduce the cost of manuscript editing.
